Climb the Wall: The Stairclimb for Clean Air 2007

Here goes another climbing race for me on February 18th, 2007. This time, it's an indoor one, unlike the Grouse Grind Mountain run which was more technical and difficult. This race is about getting to the top of a 48-Storeys' building inside Sheraton Wall Centre. In order for me to participate in this race, I have to raise money for this event. Please check out my personal webpage for this race and donations would be greatly appreciated if you can contribute some by clicking on the webpage link. $5 would just make a difference. For more info, go to the main webpage for the Climb the Wall event. Wish me luck!!!

Ray's 33rd Birthday

"A year older and a year wiser" and that's the saying we are all familiar with. Ray turned 33 today and I took him out for a nice dinner in Richmond at Steveston Seafood House. William and Yun's presence was sure a surprise to Ray because he didn't know that I invited 2 more people to come and join us :) The restaurant definitely has a nice ambience and food was really delicious. I think I will give it a 3 out of 4. Happy Birthday to my sweetie!! Enjoy your day!

Year End Get-Together Dinner

Ok...here's my review for the restaurant, Sequoia Grill. This place was really nice. Very relaxing atmosphere. I picked this restaurant for the crew to get together because I have never been there before. I have always wanted to try it out even when it was formerly called The Teahouse. I think the name was just changed to Sequoia Grill in the last year or two. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed their meal. I know I did because I had Carrot and Ginger Soup accompanied with Teahouse Mushrooms as appetizers followed by Red Snapper with avocado sauce with cilantro and basmati rice as the main entree. Was it ever good!!! After the meal, we all had desserts with tea, coffee and ice wine. Four of us ordered Creme Brulee. Hmm...I guess it was everyone's fav. I know it's my favourite dessert and it was sure yummy! Even though I had heard some bad things about this restaurant regarding the small portions of food and the bad service, I sure didn't experience any of that. So, there you go. Kudos to them!

Christmas Staff Dinner Party

This year, my boss took us to Kobe's Steakhouse for our Christmas Staff Dinner. It was really good. It was my third time at Kobe's and although I felt a little rushed, I still thought the food was amazing. We had about 20 people at the dinner and everyone looked so different. Where's everyone scrubs and uniforms?? :) Ray and I have another dinner thing to go to on Sunday night. I will keep you all posted on that.

Snowshoeing at Grouse

What a beautiful day up on Grouse today!! Ray, Evelyn, Yun, William and I went snowshoeing today on Grouse. It sure was crowded up there. Of course, we picked a Sunday to go snowshoeing :) But regardless of the hundreds of people up there, we still enjoyed ourselves especially, we got a glimpse of a friendly reindeer and escaped into the beauty of nature. It was just a spectacular view from up there. I would highly recommend everyone to try snowshoeing because it's the fastest growing outdoor winter activity. Check out the photos on my picasaweb and you'll know what I mean by "escaped into the beauty of nature".
